I think a half day would be adequate. After thinking about it, it would probably be best to shoot for score with a multiple bull type target (i.e. one shot per bull). Shooting for group requires moving backers, unless everyone trusts everyone. As far as calibers, I was thinking it should be wide open allowing everyone to participate with whatever they have. My initial comment about no re-barreled guns is probably not realistic, but the match would be limited to factory guns with no modifications other than trigger adjustments and bedding. This would keep someone from bringing a real benchrest gun and winning every time. Load development and tuning would be critical to winning.
