Steel City
Outlaw Multigun Match
Saturday,
October 30, 2010
Steel City
will hold a Fall Multigun match on Saturday, October 30th,
2010. Check in will begin at 8:00am. The shooter’s meeting will
start at 8:30am and the match will start promptly at 9:00am.
PLEASE NOTE:
This match will be held in lieu of the Fall Carbine Match. The next
Carbine Match will be the 2011 Steel City Carbine Championship and
will be held in the Spring of 2011.
The October
multigun match will consist of 5 or 6 stages. Each stage will
involve two or three firearms each. Estimated round count will be
determined closer to match time and will be communicated to all
registered shooters. The match & stages will be designed to move
efficiently, but there will be a lot of shooting. Bring a snack and
plan to spend most of the day at the range.
This will be
a trophy match. Plaques will be awarded to the winners of each of
the shooting categories. No sponsors or prizes at this event.
The match
will be limited to 50 pre-registered shooters. Only pre-registered
shooters will compete. The match fee is $35.00. Please complete
the registration form and mail it and your match fee to the address
noted on the form. You will receive confirmation of your entry via
e-mail. Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
If the match fills up, a waiting list will be established pending
receipt of application and payment. If you are on the waiting list,
your payment won’t be processed until you are cleared to shoot.
There is a
very descriptive set of rules regarding safety, firearms, equipment
and scoring posted on the Steel City website. Please review the
rules and familiarize yourself with them.
T-shirts
(very cool) will be available for $15. To be assured a shirt, you
may pre-order and send payment with your match registration.
Match
officials will have the opportunity to shoot on Friday, October 29th.
If you are interested in shooting Friday and helping with a stage on
Saturday, please let me know. There is no match fee for RO’s. Only
people helping with the match will shoot on Friday.
This match
is not a venue to learn how to operate your firearms. New
competitive shooters are welcome but please make sure you are
thoroughly familiar with the safe and proficient operation of your
firearms.
After you’ve
read the rules and associated match information, if you have
questions, please let me know. We’re looking forward to a fun,
challenging match on October 30th!
